The focus of LYC is a social organization dedicated to the promotion of safe and enjoyable boating. The club serves as a liaison between the membership and marina management.

The club is registered with Yacht Clubs of America, YCA, with listing in The Register of American Yacht Clubs; and membership is approved by the Executive Committee of Inter-lakes Yachting Association, I-LYA. Each will provide Yacht Club reciprocity across the country, and the Great Lakes. LYC planned social events shall include harbor based activities, boating safety awareness, vessel inspections, and on-water social gatherings and cruises. LYC shall sponsor Saturday morning coffee and donuts in the community room from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Other activities include “Super Saturday” dock parties, Old Fashioned Boating Family Picnics and BBQ’s. Regular meetings are held, during boating season, the second Saturday of the month at 9:00 in the LFM Community Room. Times are subject to change at the discretion of The Bridge or vote of the membership
