Lakefront Yacht Club Meeting

Meeting Minutes from 3/7/9

New Business

1.                 The current Lakefront Yacht Club flag on the flag pole needs replaced.  Jen will be providing Cory the current vendor to get a price to replace.

2.                 We need to add a link on the Lakefront Yacht Club website to the Sandusky Harbor Yacht Club and vice versa.  Patrick will make our change and Cory will discuss the addition of Lakefront Yacht Club with the Sandusky Yacht Club.

3.                 The final summer activities calendar was finalized and Cory will submit this to Kevin.  Kevin will add the marina’s activities and we will publish.  Great Job everyone.  We will begin working on making reservations, calling contacts for our educational seminars, etc.  We all have our specifics on these.  This schedule is exciting. 

4.                 The sign being constructed is 50% complete.  Cory is ordering the message board and Bill/Wayne are getting final quotes for the letters.  Once we receive this information, we can complete the sign and then install.  Great Job.

5.                 Lakefront Yacht Club was given a location for our future clubhouse.  It will be over by the service department in the lot/grass where the current wells and dumpster are located.  The club will begin working on plans and fundraisers to start this process.  Awesome.

6.                 Port Clinton is having a Lake Erie Boat Week the week and weekend of Labor Day.  This is the first of its kind for Port Clinton.  The marina and yacht club are asking for volunteers to help out and we hope to have a few events for the community at the marina.

7.                 The club is looking for a secretary and other volunteers to help out with the many events we have planned for this summer.  Anyone interested please contact Cory Best.

8.                 A review of the financials was completed and the projected budget for 2009.

9.                 A flea market will be held at the marina on 5/16/9 from 10am to 2pm for everyone at the marina.  Patrick will be organizing.
