From the Desk of Capt. Steve Banashak
Lakefront Yacht Club
Port Clinton, OH
Welcome all to the final summer hurrah. We have had a good season for boating with
water levels back that have allowed us to enjoy our boats on the water. As stated by
Commodore Wayne Martin another chapter of our Yacht Club is nearly here.
I want to personally thank Commodore Wayne Martin for all his efforts and
improvements he has brought to our club. Certainly we have progressed further than most
any club I have been involved with. The clubhouse speaks for itself and Wayne has donated
countless hours to these improvements.
We have had several dinners hosted by the club this year and none were possible without
the efforts of Jim and Maria Geyer and Bob and Barb Foust. They also dedicated countless
hours for our fine dining experiences here at Lakefront Marina.
With water in the lake and a new Fleet Captain, Jon Lamb, the club has also had some
fun on the water with his leadership.
We have added two Dock Captains who will help encourage new members and perhaps
learn the ropes of being a part of running our Club. Thanks to Dennis Emrich and
Emmanuel Umoren for joining the team.
Finally, a warm thank you to Morningstar Marinas and Kevin Asher and his staff for
moving this marina forward and making our summer boating experiences second to none
here in Port Clinton.
To all members—Thank you to all that have volunteered. Your participation in this club is needed and it cannot run without all of your time and effort
Thanks to all of you.
Now is the time to Jump on Board and join the new Bridge. It has been built and many
have come. Vote for the next chapter here at LYC.
