A Message from your Commodore: "WOW, what an exciting year to begin our boating season!  Gas prices are down, the boating communities' future looks bright, and the economy is coming back. Our Yacht Club is rapidly growing. We have an abundant activity schedule insuring the FUN is about to begin!  Did you see the new sign at the entrance?  If not, all your events, activities, and educational opportunities are posted there! Many thanks to Bill Niceswanger and Wayne Martin for the hours spent in fabrication, assisted by Steve Banashak at installation. Secondly, if you are not aware, we have been officially an active member of the I-LYA since last winter's meeting. This provides our members reciprical privelages at other member clubs.  To top it all, we have partnered with the Marina to build an LYC Clubhouse!  Now that is exciting! Wayne Martin has started us off with the first donation of $1,000.00.  That is correct----we are serious!  You will see clubhouse building campaign info and the measurement of our success on our new sign board.  I have already requested to be the full-time bartendar after my 2 year duty as Commodore.  I will deserve it then, won't I?  Anyway, talk to all of you soon!  Now, lets go boating and have some fun."
