Lakefront Yacht Club Valentine’s Day Party. The Yacht Club is having a Valentine’s Day Party
Saturday, February 14. The Yacht Club will open at noon for everyone with a formal cocktail
hour beginning at 5:00 PM with dinner at 6:00 PM. The cost for dinner is $15.00 per person.
Snacks and drinks will be available all afternoon. The Yacht Club is looking for a final count by
February 8. You can call the front office to RSVP or send your check to the marina to reserve
your spots. Kick the winter blues and come enjoy a day with the Yacht Club. If you are not a
member, consider joining. The cost to join is $100 if you dock at Lakefront or $125 if you dock
elsewhere. Join and enjoy the Club in 2015.
Spring Launch. The boating season is right around the corner, really. You will be receiving an
email with your launch form attached or via regular mail if we don’t have an email address for
you. Look it over and pick a date for launch. Our plan is to put docks back in the water at the
end of March and begin launching boats shortly thereafter, all weather permitting. All request
will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Remember, all storage and service need to be
paid to get launched.
Winter Projects. We have been working on a number of winter projects. Deb has repainted
and redecorated the bathrooms and showers, complete with new shower curtains, shower
mats, lighting, chairs, and bright colors. You’ll love what you see. The first three stationary
docks that used to be the fuel dock and launch well are now a 41 X 48 deck available for all in
the marina to enjoy. Two floating docks will surround the deck so you will be able to visit on
your jet ski, jet boat, or dingy. The décor will be special with unique features as well as picnic
tables and a grill. The lift wells are being refurbished with new steel and tie-backs. All will be
completed prior to launch season. We have spent all winter fixing docks and painting those
that are fixed. We intend to paint all steel docks as the weather permits. The painting will
certainly be taking place throughout the season as well until all are painted. We have
rearranged some rack spots making room for more boats. We have also replaced the bunks in
the rack building in 60 spots making them sturdier. We have replaced the fork covers on the
forklift with newer and softer covers.
Rack Spaces and Docks. If you have not yet reserved your rack space or your dock for the 2015
season, you should do that now. We will be calling you if we don’t hear from you. We have
already had requests from almost 20 new customers. Remember you can save money with our
referral program. Send us your friends. I hope to see you all soon and winter disappears.
