I need your help. As you know, we have always had an issue with the neighborhood feeling free to come in and use our facilities, especially the pool and the restrooms. If you find someone at the marina that doesn’t belong, please come get us so we can address the situation. You can start by asking where their dock is or what number it is or what their name is. If they don’t or can’t answer, they probably don’t belong. Please be careful, though, they may be guests of someone. Please do this politely. If someone needs to be not polite, it can be marina employees handling the situation. If it is after hours, please call the sheriff and have anyone who doesn’t belong removed. I will contact the sheriff to explain the situation. If you bring guests, please be with them if they are at the pool. If someone asks who you are, don’t be upset, Simply introduce yourself and appreciate that they are trying to help keep the place secure. Do not give out your gate code to anyone. If you order a pizza, meet them at the gate, don’t let people in. Don’t tell your friends they can come in without you to swim or fish. I will kick them out. I have purchased 8 more security cameras and we will be putting them in place soon. Please relock the community room and the pool gate locks after entering and leaving. I can’t help if you don’t help me. Make sure the gate by the finger docks remains locked. These things might be a little inconvenient, but it will help tremendously toward keeping the marina secure. The fish cleaning company has been evicted. so no one should be sleeping in the community room. That applies to all of us as well.Remember I have made arrangements with the campground next door to use their beach and for them to use the pool. They have been very good about checking in at the office, so my problem is not there. My problem is with the rest of the neighborhood. With your help in keeping things locked, not giving out codes, staying with your guests, putting up more security cameras, erecting more fence at the beach, etc. we can get a better handle on who comes into the marina.
Thanks for your help,
